Srinagar, December 21: After discovering that Tanveer Ahmad, an assistant engineer at the BDO office in Surasyar Chadoora, Budgam district, had accepted a bribe, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested him.
A substantial quantity of cash was taken from the engineer during the arrest, which was conducted in response to a complaint, according to news agency KDC.
An inquiry is still underway after a formal complaint was filed in accordance with Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

The ACB team’s successful trap operation resulted in the accused’s red-handed capture, and further investigations are being carried out at a nearby police station.
