Bandipora, September 1: A man was killed on Friday after he was pinned under a concrete mixer in the Bandipora area of north Kashmir.

Fayaz Ahmad Wani, a native of Hajin and the son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, was named as the perpetrator.

It is believed that Wani, while in his forties, was a worker at a Banger Mohalla building site.

The villagers reported his injuries were really serious.

After his first arrival at the local CHC, the attending physicians recommended that he go to SKIMS, Soura in Srinagar.

Wani died from his wounds before he could make it.

Meanwhile, on August 26, the death of Mubasir Rather, son of Ghulam Rasool Rather, cast a shadow of sadness over the hamlet of Bonpora Saderkoot. Mubasir was wounded in a motorbike accident on the Ajas-Sadunara route.

When his remains was returned to his village from SKIMS, Soura, hundreds of people gathered to pray over him.
