Officials in Srinagar said on Tuesday morning that the body of a lady was discovered in the Bemina area of the Srinagar district in the central Kashmir region.
Tanveera, the wife of Showkat Ahmad Kaloo of Nundresh Colony, Bemina, was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances in the Durbal region early in the morning, according to an official who spoke with the news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO). The source said that the corpse of the lady, who was named Tanveera, was found by some locals.
He said that they had contacted the police, who then arrived at the scene and brought the deceased person into custody.
He said that the corpse had been transported to the hospital and that it would be returned to the family after the completion of the necessary medical and legal procedures (KNO).
