Kupwara, Jul 8: Officials in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir stated that two young girls were recovered this afternoon after they were reported missing after drowning in the river Pohru in the hamlet of Jaggerpora.
Three children, reportedly, fell into the river while crossing a bridge to try to recover a girl’s slippers, which she had dropped.

Two girls were retrieved in a cooperative effort between villagers and police, they claimed, adding that “one girl is untraceable at this time.”
They announced that they were increasing their search efforts for the missing girl.
The missing girl is said to be from Muqam-i-Shahwali Drugmulla, while the two recovered girls are from Mughalpora Nagri.
