New Delhi, September 7 (IANS) On the occasion of the first anniversary of his 4,000-kilometer Bharat Jodo Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that the millions of steps taken towards national unity and love have laid the groundwork for a brighter future and that they would not stop till all hate is eradicated and India is at peace.
Rahul Gandhi, who is now in Europe for a week, shared a post X in which he reflected on how the “Crores of steps towards unity and love of Bharat Jodo Yatra have become the foundation of a better tomorrow for the country.” The trip will keep on till all animosity is gone and India is at peace with itself. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge agreed that the 4,000 kilometre yatra was an unprecedented people’s movement.
“The Bharat Jodo Yatra is a People’s Movement without parallel. Today marks the one year anniversary of the Yatra, and on behalf of the Indian National Congress, I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to Rahul Gandhi, all Bharat Yatris, and the lakhs of our countrymen who walked and participated in this historic initiative. Over the course of more than four thousand kilometres (kilometres), the Bharat Jodo Yatra brought together individuals from all walks of life to spread a message of unity in diversity.
According to Kharge, it is an assault on our national conscience to create fake news stories that draw attention away from actual problems facing people.

To mark the first anniversary of Bharat Jodo Yatra, the party is holding a Yatra in 722 districts on Thursday between 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. which will be led by MPs, MLAs, ex Ministers, CWC members after that a meeting will be followed.
