Srinagar, Oct. 9: On Monday, residents of the Habba Kadal neighbourhood's Nai Sadak neighbourhood protested the lack of water in their community. The Kashmir Journalist Observer (KNO), a journalistic organisation, was informed by witnesses that locals, including women and children, barricaded the road and slowed down traffic. They said that the lack of water supply in their neighbourhood for the last week has caused them great suffering. The authorities were repeatedly notified that there was a major water scarcity, but to no effect, they said. The resident urged the authorities to address their complaint as soon as possible.
