Gurez-Bandipora, Sinthan-Kishtwar and Margan roads closed

The highest reaches of the Kashmir Valley had a new bout of snow on Saturday morning, while the lowlands received rainfall. This led to a considerable reduction in the maximum temperatures across the region.

The upper elevations of Gurez Valley, including Razdan Pass, received additional snowfall, according to an official who spoke to the news agency KNO. In contrast, the plains were hit with severe rain.

He stated that the Bandipora-Gurez road was closed because of the persistent rain that occurred during the night as well as the snowfall that occurred on Razdan Top and in the neighbouring areas.

While this was going on, rain was falling in other sections of the Kashmir valley, which caused the high temperature to drop significantly.

As a result of the snowfall and the heavy rain in the region, the authorities have decided to block both Sinthan Top Road and Margan Road to traffic movement.

In addition, the Meteorological Department in Kashmir has predicted rain and snow in higher ranges on Friday night in various areas across Jammu and Kashmir. These locations are spread out.
