The award ceremony, which took place on Saturday in Mumbai, honored Zaffar’s remarkable storytelling abilities.

Haris Jeelani Togoo, the documentary’s producer and director, expertly crafts a gripping story that highlights the strength and resiliency of young girls in Kashmir who are defying social conventions by learning martial arts.

Another notable accomplishment was the shortlisting of Zaffar’s second documentary, which was produced by Haris and was again in the Health and Wellness category. This story, titled “Kashmir COVID Frontline Warriors Demonstrate Commitment in Snow Near the LoC,” vividly depicts the difficulties and steadfast devotion that frontline workers in the area experience, particularly in inclement weather.

The Redink Awards acknowledge Zaffar Iqbal’s skill as a journalist while also drawing much-needed attention to noteworthy topics.
