Saturday, June 17, in Hyderabad, President Droupadi Murmu said that the Indian Air Force is taking steps to be ready for the future, keeping in mind the general security situation and the difficulties of facing a high-tech war in a future battle area that is based on networks.

The President said these things after watching the Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of the 211th Course at the Air Force Academy (AFA) in Dundigal, near Hyderabad. The parade was full of military pomp.

Academy leaders say that this is the first time in the history of the AFA that the reviewing officer is the President.

Murmu told the group, “I am glad to see that our Air Force is taking steps to be always ready, especially for the future, keeping in mind the overall security scenario, including the challenges of fighting a high-tech war in a network-centered future battle space.”

She said that it is written in gold letters how important it was for the brave troops of the IAF to protect the country in the wars of 1948, 1965, and 1971.

The President praised the IAF by saying, “They showed the same courage and skill during the Kargil conflict and later when they destroyed the terror hideout at Balakot.”

She also said that the IAF helps with crisis relief and aid for people in need.
